I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, and is going to have a happy and Healthy New Year. I went down to Queens to be with my family for the holidays. On Sunday night, my sister, mother and brother-in-law went to the Milleridge Inn for dinner; what a nice place and a good time. They had old-time singers going around to each of the tables singing a cappella Christmas carols. They were selling their CD and I told them if they would take a picture with me then I would buy one. I should have asked the price before I opened my big mouth. It was $15. It worked out well though because my brother-in-law said he would like one of them; so he is getting it for Christmas.

If you got to St. Francis Xavier church in Narrowsburg, then you got to see the "angel tree" that Fr. Bill put up to honor the lives lost in Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut. It was a four-foot tree and there were angel ornaments with all the names of the victims on them. Thank you Fr. Bill for doing such a nice thing, and keeping their memory alive.

Starting January 1st, the Town of Cochecton Tax bill will be in the mail. My office hours for January will be Tuesdays 4-7, Thursday 4-7 and Saturday 10-2, or you can call 845/932-8360 ext. 17 to make an appointment or leave me a message and I will get back in touch with you. You can always get all your tax information at www.taxlookup.net. If you need an address change or have a question on your assessment, you need to call Lori King, her extension is 12. You can pay with cash (exact change), a check, or money order. I do not take credit cards. If you are going to make payments, please send me the entire bill and I will send it back to you, I need to keep the payment strip for my records. I do enjoy getting little notes with your payments.

I can not believe it has been three years since I turned the big 50. Yes, I am going to be 53. I stopped dying my hair so I am all gray; my husband loves it because I look old like him. What I don’t like is when I look in the mirror, my grandmother is looking back at me. It could be worse: it could be my great grandmother.

So it's Sunday night December 23rd and I still have stuff to wrap. I am sitting in the Floral Park Hotel, playing on Facebook, and thinking about tomorrow when I will get a manicure, pedicure and that great ½ hour massage; all gift certificates I just found from last year.
