Presentation on novel self-publishing

November 8, 2012

PORT JERVIS, NY — In honor of National Novel Writing Month, The Hub at The Port Jervis Free Library will host local author William Webster for a program about self-publishing on Thursday, November 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing on November 1. The goal is to write a 50,000 word (approximately 175-page) novel by 11:59:59 on November 30.

The presenter, William Webster, will discuss the next eleven months of the necessary editing process to turn quantity into quality, to create a manuscript truly worth the reader’s time. In addition, he will discuss the pros and cons of self-publishing your manuscript. He will also guide you through self-publishing in both a paper and ink format and/or an e-book format.

There is no charge for this presentation, but reservations are required. Email thehub@portjervislibrary.org or call 845/772-7586.
