Wurtsboro Airport hosts music festival

WURTSBORO, NY — The Wurtsboro Airport will play host to the Wurtsboro Music Festival starting on Thursday, August 16, in the al fresco setting of the airport lawn. Air Supply, known for their hits “Lost In Love” and “All Out of Love,” will join Jay Black – an American Tradition, famous for his chart breaking “This Magic Moment” and “Cara Mia,” on Thursday August 16 for the inaugural concert.
The second concert, “The Biggest Dance Party,” will be held on Thursday, August 30 as KC and The Sunshine Band, known for such hits as “That’s The Way I Like it” and “Shake Your Booty” takes the stage with Taylor Dayne (“Tell It To My Heart” and “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love”) and Martha Wash, famous for such hits as “It’s Raining Men” and “Everybody Everybody.”
Festival developer Shalom Lamm said, “The Wurtsboro Airport has always had the potential to be a centerpiece of the best of Sullivan County. It’s world famous as a historic airport, and now we hope it also becomes synonymous with grand entertainment.”
A limited number of VIP “Meet and Greet” seats will provide fans the opportunity to personally meet the stars. Lawn chairs will be provided with VIP “Meet and Greet” and premium seating. Designer Wurtsboro Music Festival lawn blankets will be sold prior to the concert, and concert goers are invited to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs.
