‘Entering the Dharma Gate’

April 19, 2012

HAWLEY, PA — Harmony Presents at the Hawley Silk Mill (8 Silk Mill Drive, just off Route 6) will host “An Evening of Poetry: Entering the Dharma Gate” on Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. The reading will feature poets Karen Morris and Marcia Nehemiah, members of the Upper Delaware Writers Collective. The mic will be open for poets following the featured reading; arrive a few minutes early to sign up.

Morris is an award-winning poet and psychoanalyst in private practice in Honesdale and New York City. Her poems often explore the interface of internal religious striving with the tension of living in a world of suffering.

The author of two books of poetry, award-winning poet Nehemiah’s most recent poems focus on the individual’s search for the impermanent self. She writes a monthly column on sustainability and the environment for The River Reporter.
