Handmade for the Holidays

November 24, 2011

ROSCOE, NY — You can get your holiday shopping started at the scenic mountaintop location of Duke Pottery, at 855 County Rd. on the first two holiday weekends, Saturday and Sunday, November 26 and 27 and December 3 and 4. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on all days.
The event is an exhibit of 25 artisans including pottery, jewelry, paintings, silk scarves, furniture, lampshades, vintage clothes and linens, handbags, tutus and more, all for sale. There will also be a pastry café, provided by Flour Power Bakery, wine tastings and a complimentary cup of local Java Love Coffee.

A percentage of sales this year will benefit Farmhearts (www.farmhearts.org), a non-profit organization with a mission to help local family farms survive and thrive. The farmers will be represented with gift bottles of maple syrup, sheep skin rugs, hand-spun wool and Catskill Provisions raw honey.
