Locked room dinner mystery features vampires
October 13, 2011 —
CALLICOON, NY — St. James Episcopal Church will host a mystery dinner featuring vampires, a literary convention and tabloid reporter named Vanhelsing on Saturday, October 15 at 5 p.m.
At the heart of the mystery, “Undead! In Person,” is the body of Lydia Marston, author of the popular Midnight series of novels, who is found dead in her suite at Callicoon’s Aquarius Bed, Breakfast and Retreat Center—in a locked room with no signs of forced entry. She has suffered puncture wounds to the throat. Theories as to the cause of death range from the common-sense to the supernatural.
In addition to enjoying an abundant church-style dinner, attendees will have an opportunity to interview the suspects and draw their own conclusions. Guests are invited to come in costume, and there will be a prize for the most original. Admission costs $15. Call 845/794-0225.
