Woman arrested for purse theft

MONTICELLO, NY — Monticello Police arrested Nicole Zydor, 27, of Monticello on January 15 for theft. Zydor was arrested following an investigation into the theft of a pocketbook from the Recovery Center on Hamilton Avenue in the Village of Monticello. Zydor alegedly stole the pocketbook, which contained various bank and credit cards belonging to her roommate, while seeking treatment services at the center.
She was also wanted by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office on a bench warrant for petit larceny from the Town of Thompson Court.
Both Monticello police and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office located Zydor walking on Bushnell Avenue and arrested her. Zydor was arraigned in the Village of Monticello justice court before Acting Village of Monticello Justice Martin Miller.
Zydor was remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $5,000 bail on the village charges and $2,500 bail on the Town of Thompson court bench warrant pending further court action.
