A post election word of thanks

November 13, 2013

Fellow Lackawaxen Township residents,

Yesterday (Election Day) was like no other day I’ve ever experienced. I spent it with my opponent Brian Stuart, his wife Sharon and their two wonderful children, Michaela and Andrew, at the polls.

Watching and speaking with them during the day, I discovered what the Stuart family represents. Sharon is a wonderful mother and a loyal and faithful wife. Michaela is a bright and energetic young lady. Young Andrew is a polite, positive and fun loving young man. This is a family that clearly understands the meaning of family, support and togetherness. They all represented themselves and Brian tremendously well.

Brian’s campaign tallied 320 write-in votes. This is a remarkably high number of votes for a write-in campaign. Congratulations to Brian for attaining the highest number of write-in votes in township supervisor election history. His ability to rally support and receive such numbers as a write-in candidate is a testament to his past 18 years of dedicated service to the people of Lackawaxen Township. I hope to be able to learn from Brian’s experience and reach out to him, particularly during the transition period.

I’m incredibly grateful to my beautiful and supportive wife, my wonderful children and incredible family and friends who walked this path with me. Many, many thanks go out to those who turned out to vote for me and support our vision. I know that with the great people of Lackawaxen Township we will continue to create great opportunities for our community and its residents. I am eager to start on that exciting journey with you. May God continue to bless the great people of Lackawaxen Township. Thank you.

Michael “Mike” Mancino
Lackawaxen Township Supervisor-Elect
