Big Sky on the road with ‘Women on Fire’

September 25, 2013

GARDINER, NY — An afternoon of 12 monologues will be presented by Big Sky Productions, one of Sullivan County’s resident theatre troupes, at the Gardiner Library Community Room on Sunday, October 6 at 2 p.m.

“Women on Fire,” written by Irene O’Garden, was originally performed Off-Broadway by award-winning actress Judith Ivey. Big Sky’s version of “Women on Fire,” which is a benefit for the Gardiner Library, will be performed as a dramatic reading by four area actresses: Constance Slater of Hasbrouck, Sharlene Hartman of Middletown, DeLois “Cookie” House of Ellenville, and Carol Montana of Grahamsville. O’Garden, who lives in Garrison, will attend the show and take part in a Q&A with the audience.

Admission costs $10. Call 845/255-1255 or visit www.gardinerlibrary.org.
