Josh Santoro, Eldred Central School (ECS) varsity boys basketball-baseball coach and Highland-Lumberland summer basketball camp director, is pictured at the Highland Town Board meeting on November 10 as he introduces ECS colleague Sonia Kidney. Kidney coaches girls varsity soccer and junior varsity softball and has assisted at the basketball camp. Santoro, who started the widely acclaimed basketball camp four years ago, asked for and received their approval to expand the camp to include soccer, which Kidney would direct. Santoro said no additional funding would be needed and soccer, which is “huge in the area,” would add an additional 40 youths to the program.
