Loren Goering, National Park Service Upper Delaware chief of facility management, is pictured detailing ongoing rehabilitation work at the Roebling Delaware Aqueduct. Leaking storm-drain conduits under the ramps and paving of the drive ramps themselves were completed last week. The aqueduct’s surface only required re-sealing. Some work remains to be completed by November 8. The aqueduct remains closed to traffic weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Phase two of the project, involving below-water repairs to the ice breakers, will be completed next year, pending approval of project funding. That work will not involve closures.
