BETHEL, NY — The New York State Police in Sullivan County made several arrests of individuals who were attending or planning to attend the three-day Mysteryland Music Festival at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.
On May 23, police made five driving while intoxicated arrests of persons attending the show. One of those five arrests was a felony charge and two of the five were aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers and investigators also arrested four separate individuals for numerous felony criminal possession of a controlled substance charges. Drugs confiscated included cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, LSD, ecstasy and marijuana.
On May 22, police also made several felony drug arrests of persons attending the show, with a similar range of drugs being found. The drugs were confiscated at various checkpoints and during stops of vehicles traveling to the event.
