NARROWSBURG, NY — Brendan and Kathleen Weiden went before the Tusten Planning Board on Monday, May 19 to submit an application for the redevelopment of the Narrowsburg school building. The Weidens won the bid for the vacant building this past October, and plan to close on it in the beginning of July.
They are in negotiations with a potential tenant, a gourmet ice cream company. There is a public hearing planned for the possible tenant on June 22. They are also working with architect Buck Moorhead on plans for a building renovation, as well as a building addition to house the ice cream company.
Recently, the Weidens also submitted an application to the Sullivan County Industrial Development Agency (IDA). The IDA will vote on it at its next meeting.
