SPRING GLEN, NY — A Livingston Manor man, Balsey DeWitt, 30, has been arrested by the New York State Police at Liberty on several charges in connection with a shooting.
The shooting took place on February 9, at approximately 6:35 p.m. at the Mobil Gas station on Cooley Place in Parksville, where DeWitt fired multiple rounds at a 31-year-old-resident of Livingston Manor after both parties were apparently fighting over a female subject. The victim is in critical but stable condition at a local trauma center. The Troop F Forensic Investigation Unit and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office assisted with the investigation.
