HANCOCK, NY — A man from Fishs Eddy, north of Delaware County, was found dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound on the morning of November 23. Police had been summoned to the house several hours earlier after 52-year-old Ronald Milke reportedly had a physical altercation with a 52-year-old woman.
The woman suffered wounds to her face and left the building at about 1:30 a.m. Police tried to contact Milke for several hours before finally entering the home after daylight.
The woman was taken to a hospital and the investigation is ongoing.
