TOWN OF THOMPSON, NY — The Town of Thompson Town Board will officially open the new community building at the Thompson Town Park on Thursday, June 20 at 12 noon with special guests, the Monticello Senior Club.

The Monticello Seniors will be greeted by the Thompson town board led by supervisor Tony Cellini and councilmen Richard Sush, Scott Mace, Peter Briggs, Sharon Jankiewicz and town clerk Marilee Calhoun along with park superintendent William Culligan.

“This spanking brand new community building that has taken some time to open has appropriately invited the Monticello Seniors to be the inaugural group to officially open this facility,” said supervisor Cellini.

“We are delighted to be the first guests invited to this wonderful facility located in that delightful serene park setting,” commented Roz Sharoff, chair of the event.

The building is located off Old Liberty Road in the Thompson Town Park, approximately four miles from Broadway in the Village of Monticello.

The Sullivan County Office of the Aging will be serving a cold lunch at 12 noon.
