HARRIS, NY — Courtney Kashan, 24, and Joshua Boyles, 24, of Livingston Manor and Juan Morales, 35, and Jorge Ramirez, 40, of White Lake have been arrested in connection with a burglary at a home on Harris/Bushville Rd. According to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office Town of Bethel the suspects crawled under the home and used a battery-powered saw to remove numerous copper pipes.

A NYSEG employee who was reading a meter in the area alerted a neighbor about the activity and the neighbor called police. The suspects fled before officers arrived, but officers were able to track the vehicle to Sims Recycling on Old Route 17 in Ferndale. Kashan had used her driver’s license for identification when the suspects sold the pipes to the recycling operation.
