NEW HOPE, PA – The 18 vehicular bridges owned and operated by the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission between Pennsylvania and New Jersey remained open to
traffic as of 1 p.m. today.
The Commission, however, recommended that motorists limit themselves to essential travel only due to anticipated heavy rain and high winds throughout the afternoon into the
evening.
Major Commission vehicular bridges include the I-78 Toll Bridge, the Delaware Water Gap (I-80) Toll Bridge, the Trenton-Morrisville (Route 1) Toll Bridge, and the Easton-
Phillipsburg (Route 22) Toll Bridge.
As of 1 p.m. today, only a single footbridge owned by the Commission was closed to public use. The Lumberville-Raven Rock Toll-Supported Bridge between Bucks County,PA. and Hunterdon County, N.J. was closed earlier today due to the shutdown of Bulls Island State Park on the New Jersey side. The bridge, which is not in any of kind of structural threat, will be put back into service when the state park reopens.
