County conducts economic development survey

County Manager David Fanslau has announced the issuance of an Economic Development Survey as a first step in the development of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategic Plan for Sullivan County. The survey has been sent out to employers in the county.

“The results of the survey will help to develop an assessment of the county’s economy, identify the optimal opportunities for business sector development and identify and prioritize actions that need to be taken by the legislature to improve the county’s economy,” said legislature chairman Scott Samuelson.

“All Sullivan County businesses are encouraged to complete and submit the survey through survey monkey at www.surveymonkey.com/s/sullivan-county,” said Ira Steingart, chairman of the Community and Economic Development Committee. Information is sought about topics such as employee skills, productivity, labor availability and training and educational resources.

The deadline for responses is August 15. Email planning@co.sullivan.ny.us or call 845/807-0541.
