The Upper Delaware Council (UDC) is accepting applications for its Technical Assistance Grants (TAG) program. Applications from the UDC’s member municipalities must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 31.

A special meeting of the UDC’s Project Review Committee will be convened on Tuesday, September 11, at 6:30 p.m. to meet with applicants and review their proposals. Approval of FY 2013 grant awards is expected at the Thursday, October 4 monthly UDC meeting to be held at 7 p.m. Both meetings will be at the council’s building on Bridge Street.

Since the non-profit organization’s inception in 1988, the UDC has awarded $687,492 to help subsidize 201 non-construction projects. A funding pool of $30,000 has been budgeted for FY 2013.

The River Management Plan for the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River authorizes the UDC to provide technical, planning and financial assistance to participating governments for projects related to implementation of the plan.

Application forms, grant criteria, contract guidelines and a directory of past projects are posted at www.upperdelawarecouncil.org and available for download.
