Conservancy launches Green Lodging

Posted

This past July 4th holiday, the Delaware Highlands Conservancy (DHC) along with three participating hotels—Ledges, the Settlers Inn and Woodloch Resorts—launched the Green Lodging Partnership program. For participants in the program, with every reservation, guests contribute a $2 donation directly to the DHC. Guests may opt out, but the successful launch of the program shows that very few have.

The donations support its conservation mission and assure that all the special places, scenic beauty, and outdoor recreational opportunities that bring tourists to the Upper Delaware River region are protected now and every time they visit in the future.

The DHC works in partnership with landowners and communities to protect the healthy lands, clean waters and quality of life in the Upper Delaware River region, as well as focusing on supporting locally sustainable economies.

To become a participant email info@delawarehighlands.org or call 570/226-3164 or 845/583-1010.
