Hurricane Irene updates: August 31 1:33 pm
From Sullivan County manager David Fanslau: The Town of Fallsburg has evacuated Foxcroft Village and the nearby campgrounds, as a precaution, due to the spillover of the Neversink Dam. The Town of Callicoon has evacuated some residents in flooded areas. The Town of Mamakating has evacuated the Spring Glen mobile home park.
According to PennDot: In Pike County, Route 2001(Bushkill Falls Rd) is closed in both directions between the intersections of Route 739 to the intersections of Seventh St in Milford. Due to flooding.
Route 2004 (Silver Lake Rd) is closed in both directions between the intersections of Brookside Rd in Delaware to the intersection of Doolan Rd in Delaware. Due to flooding.
In Sullivan Route 52 is reportedly closed between Jeffersonville and Youngsville.

PPL Electric Utilitiesreports power outages caused by Hurricane Irene damage in nearly every county of its 29-county service territory and more than 200,000 customers affected across its system in central and eastern Pennsylvania. More than 9,600 are without power in Wayne County and more than 2,500 are without power in Pike County.

The Town of Callicoon is advising that flooding is occuring or imminent. Resdients in low lying areas and areas prone to flooding should now evacuate their homes and seek shelter on higher ground. The fire departments ask for your cooperation to evacuate early as fire personnel will not be able to rescue residents once flooding occurs. The Jeffersonville Ambulance Building and Town of Callicoon Highway Depts are open if you need somewhere to go.

Thousands of NYSEG customers are without power in Sullivan County because of downed power lines. Towns that were hard hit include Thompson, Fallsburg, Liberty, Tusten. To report an outage call 800.572.1131.
There is wide-spread flash flooding in the region, with many roads impassable. State Route 17 is closed in both directions between Exits 106 and 105, due to flooding.
