Church choir holds concert

HONESDALE, PA — On Sunday, December 10, St. John’s Roman Catholic Church Choir celebrates the season with its annual Christmas concert at 2 p.m. The music will run from traditional favorites such as “Joy to the World” and “Fum, Fum, Fum” to gospel and contemporary sounds. Accompanying the vocalists will be piano, organ, wind and brass instruments, bass and drums.

Musicians lending their talents to enhance the vocals are Theresa Gumble, accompanist on piano and organ; Sue Apgar on both wind and brass instruments; Jerry Swendsen on bass; and John Gardas on drums. John Propeack has directed the choir for 42 years.

The concert is free and open to the public. The Roman Catholic Church on 150 Terrace St.
