NARROWSBURG, NY — Narrowsburg Bridge project manager reports that the bridge will close on August 28 through August 31 between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:00 am.

Proposed work includes replacement of the steel grid deck, span two stringers, sidewalks and bridge railings. Other proposed work includes full-depth bituminous paving on the bridge approach, milling and overlay, drainage improvements, curbing, guide rail, pavement markings and reinstallation of a traffic beacon.

The work is expected to be finished in September 2018.  The construction bid was awarded to D.A. Collins Construction Co., and the cost will be $6.7 million. That’s down from earlier estimates of nearly $7.4 million. The repair costs are being split between New York and Pennsylvania.
