What a busy, great, fun, weekend I had. On Friday night went to Bethel Woods with Pastor Phyllis Haynes to see Cindi Lauper and Rod Stewart. Everything was great till the skies opened up, and we ran under the pavilion for cover. We got drenched anyway. I had a puddle in my bra. It was kind of gross to have to sit for the rest of the show soaked to your drawers. Saturday night I went back to see The Doobie Brothers and Chicago with my niece and good friends Kathy and Dan Leggio. On Sunday I worked Riverfest and had a great time running into people that I do not get to see all the time. There really is so much to do in Sullivan County—you just have to get out and do it.

On Saturday, July 22 there was a meeting held at The Nutshell for Lake Huntington homeowners. Michael Popolillo, owner of lakefront property, got a group together to see how the landowners around the lake can help the lake. Topics that were discussed were the Department of Environmental Conservation access to the lake, how they can go about forming a lake association, paying dues, getting bylaws, forming a 501(c)3 and the best way to have people be able to vote on matters concerning the health of the lake. There were a lot of questions asked and a lot of ideas discussed. All who attended will receive a follow-up email from Mike, and hopefully they can get the ball rolling. The Town of Cochecton is blessed with this beautiful lake, and it is up to the people of this town to take care of it. For more information email Mike Popolillo at LHNYLakeAssociation@gmail.com.
