Time for a change in Shohola

Posted

I’ve lived in Shohola for 40 years. Since Town Board Chairman George Fluhr, Jr. took office in 2010, he has shown continuing disrespect to Shohola citizens, a determination to keep government wrapped in secrecy, a closed mind to new ideas and a very troubling attitude, which too often looks like he is on a vendetta.

The Fluhr family has had its day. Between George, Sr. and George, Jr., they’ve “ruled” Shohola for over 37 years. I’m voting for Shirley Masuo as a write-in candidate because she offers a common-sense platform (he offers none) and a commitment to truly open government. I’m old enough to know when it’s time for a change. It is definitely time for a change.
