Getting beyond partisanship on health care

Posted

The longer this ridiculous impasse continues, the more U.S. citizens are being hurt by Representative Tom Marino and 39 others who claim they have their constituents’ best interests in hand. They no longer have the best interests of their district, when they are the cause of millions of dollars a day in lost revenue and are impacting the health of millions of U.S. citizens.

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has already demonstrated success with various components that have been in place since the law was passed in 2010, and it will continue to improve healthcare access for millions needing it. Yes, there are parts that need revision, but these will continue to be fixed over time.

Marino already enjoys excellent healthcare thanks to his generous federal benefits. It’s time for our country to get beyond partisanship and start providing the healthcare so many need but are unable to obtain. He needs to start working on behalf of the people in his district who truly care about others and not those who dislike the person in the White House so much that they are willing to put their and their neighbor’s health in further jeopardy.
