A November election endorsement

Posted

After spending my childhood family summers in Sullivan County, I returned in the early ‘90s to make my own home here. It was shortly thereafter that I met Nancy Lee, when she knocked at my door to introduce herself, a candidate for office in the Town of Callicoon.

I was decidedly impressed by this woman, who seemed to gracefully balance work with raising a young family, and still have more to give to her community. She told me about herself, but what I best remember about that visit is that she also listened. She had actively served on the town board for four years, bringing in much-needed state and federal grant money. So, it was with enthusiasm that I voted for the first time in Sullivan County, having actually personally met and spoken with the candidate.

Well, Nancy Lee has remained bound up in our community and is back now as a candidate for supervisor in the Town of Callicoon [running in the November election]. She will soon be knocking on your door. You will have the opportunity to share your concerns, ask your questions. You will find that Nancy listens, cares and responds. She is ready to work for you.

So, I hope you will join me in voting for Nancy Lee on November 5th.
