Running for Tusten Town Justice

Hello, my name is Charles “Chuck” Hoffman, and I am running for one of the two Town of Tusten Justice seats up for election this year. I’d like to take a moment of your time and tell you a little about my background and why I am asking for your vote in this upcoming primary election. I am a long-term, fulltime, resident of 29+ years, and own a home on Lackawaxen Road in the Town of Tusten. I am veteran who served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. I graduated with honors from East Stroudsburg University receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and a Master’s Degree in Education. Early in my career, I worked as a paralegal for the former Pike County (PA) District Attorney Michael Weinstein. For the past 19+ years, I have been a teacher in the Minisink Valley Central School District in Slate Hill, NY. There, I teach biology, physical and forensic science. I am also the science department chairperson. I hold professional memberships with the National Science Teachers’ Association, Union of Concerned Scientists and New York Teachers’ Union. As a outdoorsman, in my spare time I can be found hiking, fishing, canoeing and enjoying the quality of life we have all come to enjoy living here in Tusten.

On the issues that impact all of us, I believe that if given the opportunity to serve as town justice, my educational and professional experience will help protect and safeguard our community. With this I’m asking for your support to my candidacy as Tusten Town Justice.

Chuck Hoffman
