The Ulster County consumer has had no stronger advocate than Michael Kavanagh when he was Ulster County District Attorney. For five years I was director of the Ulster County Consumer Fraud Bureau, and throughout that period, could always count on Mr. Kavanagh's support in our efforts to get a square deal for consumers. Whether it was pursuing a firm that was selling bogus diplomas or bringing legal action against an unscrupulous telemarketer, the consumer fraud bureau could always count on Mr. Kavanagh to support us and to do what was necessary to help Ulster County consumers.

Mr. Kavanagh is now running for re-election as a Supreme Court Judge and recently received a "highly qualified" rating from the Independent Judicial Qualification Election Commissions. I urge all who believe in fairness in the marketplace to support him for re-election.
