I do not reside in Sullivan County District 6, but would like to appeal to the voters in that district to vote for Legislator Jodi Goodman. I know both Jodi Goodman and Cora Edwards.

Cora Edwards was instrumental in stopping a multi-million dollar home development in Swan Lake. I am amazed that she has the support of any labor union, considering the number of jobs and the tax revenue lost to Sullivan County. We have worked very hard to revitalize Swan Lake, and needed the economic boost that this development would have provided.

Ms. Edwards works and resides part-time in New York City. Jodi, unlike Ms. Edwards, has lived in Sullivan County all her life and understands the issues that we face. Jodi is always accessible and available to her constituents. People know they can count on Jodi Goodman to work with them and get results. When people complained that convicted sexual offenders were placed in housing near our elementary schools, she worked to get them moved. Hurleyville residents needed help to secure a community project building; Goodman was there to assist. When residents of a senior housing complex complained about losing their American flag, Goodman joined forces with the American Legion to replace the flag.

Goodman is no stranger bringing funding for programs and projects within her district, security camera to Main Street, Liberty, funding for the Community Development Corporation for the Town and Village Main Street revitalization and business development. Goodman supported the new Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs so our children have a safe place to go after school.

Goodman’s work isn’t over when the funding is approved. She works tirelessly alongside other community members following through until the project is complete.

Residents of Sullivan County District 6, vote for Jodi Goodman on November 8.
