    Hawley's Troop 401 celebrates Scouting

MOOSIC -- Last Friday, May 21, Hawley's Cub Scout Troop 401 represented our region with style and honor as they joined early 2000 other scouts at "Scout Appreciation Day" at Lackawanna County Stadium in Moosic. The stadium is home to Pennsylvania's only Minor League baseball team, the Red Barons. After a wonderful opening presentation on the field, the boys were treated to an exciting game in which the Red Barons lost to the Duraham Bulls by one run -- the result of an in-the-park homerun caused by an error at shortstop. An extensive fireworks display after the game capped off an evening that Troop 401 will not soon forget.
