WHITE MILLS, PA — This Saturday will provide an opportunity to listen to classic country music in the idyllic outdoors setting of a wildlife sanctuary, when Grammy-award winner Crystal Gayle appears in concert at the Wildflower Music Festival at 6:00 p.m.

Gayle’s hit “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” stayed at No. 1 on the chart for four weeks and became her signature piece throughout her career. In 1978, the song won Gayle a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. In 1999, the song was recognized by ASCAP as one of the 10 most-performed songs of the 20th century. She kept on scoring into the ‘80s, with hits like “If You Ever Change Your Mind,” “Baby, What About You” and “The Sound of Goodbye.”

Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs and pack a picnic. Light beverages are for sale on the sanctuary grounds.

Upcoming concerts in the Wildflower concert series will include Celtic Crossroads, Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper and Laurie Krauz and the Daryl Kojak Band. Tickets for these concerts are $20 general admission, $10 for students six to 18 years old. There is no charge for children under six.
