This painted turtle basks in the sun on the remains of the old bridge near the north end of the reservoir. A slow drift past this turtle’s perch allowed me to get close without disturbing it.

There are also, however, many publicly accessible lakes that are open for fishing and paddling in both New York and Pennsylvania.

Milford holds Secret Garden Tour

MILFORD, PA—The Milford Garden Club’s 18th annual Secret Garden Tour will take place on Saturday, July 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be seven gardens open for viewing this year.
