Francis Ford Cupola or My Secret Life
A neighbor has a cupola on her one-story house. For years I have walked past it and thought I would like a cupola for my shed. The shed that used to sit tucked behind five hemlock trees in my side yard now sits close to a tall spruce tree near the driveway. The flood of 06 took it there and we had neither the will nor the way to put it back. Over time, I have tried to make the shed look like it belongs where it is. I planted junipers and foxglove on the street side. I plan to replace the windows. Really, I do. The roof dips a bit mid-beam. A perfect place for a cupola, I think.

Play me the music
As I made my way to the Forestburgh Playhouse ( fbplayhouse.org ) on Wednesday night, I couldnt help but think How many times can I see A Chorus line? Broadway, regional and summer stock productions galore swam in my head as I sat down and, once again, was transported into the magical world that is this show.
Originally conceived, choreographed and directed by Michael Bennett, A Chorus Line won nine Tony Awards (including a special Tony for longest running show), five Drama Desk awards and the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 1975— IMHO, rightfully so.
