PETER NAKONECZNY

Mr. Peter Nakoneczny of Glen Spey, NY died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY. He was 82.

He was born September 16, 1927 in Rakivtsi, Ukraine, the son of the late Paul and the late Maria Nakoneczny.

Mr. Nakoneczny was a war veteran, serving in the 24th division in combat intelligence in Korea. He received a BBA from City College of New York and an MBA from Columbia University. He served as Vice President of Finance and Controller of the Expanded Metal Engineering Company (EMECO). He was a past officer of the Self Reliance (NJ) Federal Credit Union, of the past Ukrainian American Veterans Post 17, and of the Executive Council of the Ukrainian Youth Organization Plast. He was a member of St. Volodymyr’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Glen Spey.

Survivors include daughters Vera Andrejow and husband Michael and their son Nicholas and Zenia Olesnyckyj and husband Myron and their children, Lesia and Stefan; sister–in-law Lesya Nakoneczny; nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins.

Funeral services were on Wednesday, June 30 with a prayer at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., Port Jervis, followed by a Liturgy Mass at St. Volodymyr’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Glen Spey, with Rev. Yaroslav Kostyk officiating. Burial was at Glen Spey Cemetery, Glen Spey.

CYNTHIA WORMUTH-PALLIS

Cynthia Wormuth-Pallis of Damascus, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on June 22, 2010. She was 44.

She was born on April 7, 1966 in Hancock, NY, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Campbell) Wormuth. Cindy graduated from Hancock Central School and earned a food service degree at BOCES. She was currently a receptionist for Dr. Linda F. Borrelli, in Callicoon, NY. Cindy was an avid Yankee fan, A-Rod fan, and a fan of Mark Martin in NASCAR. She married Dave “Louie” Pallis, on January 6, 2010, and she was a devoted wife, mother, and friend.

Surviving are her husband; daughter, Martina Wormuth of Chambersburg, PA, and son DJ Pallis at home; brothers Daniel and wife Michelle and Timothy and wife Gwen, all of Hancock; father-in-law Daniel Pallis of Damascus; brothers-in-law Danny Pallis of Albany, NY and Steven and wife Mary of Horsham, PA; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and many great friends.

Cindy was predeceased by her parents; baby sister Elizabeth; mother-in-law Eleanor Pallis; and sister-in-law Debbie Pallis.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 24 at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel, Hancock, with Pastor Tim Wormuth officiating.
