Tri-Valley and Fallsburg athletic award nights extol schools’ best

By RICHARD A. ROSS

GRAHAMSVILLE AND FALLSBURG, NY—June marks the end of the high school athletic year and offers up a cavalcade of awards-night celebrations in area schools. This past week it was Tri-Valley and Fallsburg doing just that, touting the accomplishments of teams and outstanding players as well as the scholarly honors accorded by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association to teams that featured a GPA of 90 percent or better.

As Tri-Valley athletic director Joe Iatauro pointed out, each and every Bears team this spring earned that coveted distinction. At Fallsburg, such honors fell to the girls golf team and the boys tennis team. Brynn Bertholf and Steven Teri received the Army Reserve National Scholars Athlete Awards.
