New Jersey artist Robert Burger’s 3D animation “Alien Television,” of which this is a frame, will be shown at the DIGit 2010 Digital Media Exposition in Narrowsburg, NY, opening on June 18. “Alien Television” is based on the concept that all the radio and television broadcasts that have originated on Earth are now traveling into outer space and may some day be intercepted by intelligent beings living on a distant planet.

NARROWSBURG, NY—The seventh annual DIGit Media Exposition is coming to the bucolic river valley hamlet of Narrowsburg this weekend. It may be a somewhat ironic setting, but as Tina Spangler, a member of the festival’s organizing committee, notes, “This quiet atmosphere creates a comfortable environment in which local residents and visiting artists alike can come together to examine the ways digital technology impacts our everyday lives.”
