MONTICELLO, NYIn January, when planning commissioner Luiz Aragon first started talking about new plans for the county-owned 400-acre parcel on East Broadway in Monticello, the concept was to create a recreational/retail experience that recognizes what were known for, which is the outdoors. Aragon said at the time that the idea could be summed up as a place where a visitor could buy a kayak and then use the kayak.

MATAMORAS, PA & PORT JERVIS, NYBusiness people in Matamoras, PA and Port Jervis, NY are at their wits end. The bridge over the Delaware River that links the two towns has been all but closed for two months with traffic allowed only one way—west—from New York into Pennsylvania.
The bridge needs repairs, everyone concedes. But why is the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) limiting the traffic to west only?
