Sullivan West beats Onteora in extra innings but falls to eventual champ Highland in softball semifinals

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Sullivan West’s softball season came to an end with a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Highland in the Class B semifinals. Autumn Ackermann pitched a one-hitter in her final high school outing. The tough loss ended Sullivan West’s season at 11-9, just a day after the Lady Bulldogs won a dramatic 4-3 win over Onteora in eight innings, in which Katerina Gaebel had the winning hit in the bottom of the eighth. Congratulations to the Lady Bulldogs on a wonderful season.
