Classical dance in the Upper Delaware

MILFORD, PA—The Delaware Valley Dance Company (DVDC) will present a full-length production of the classical ballet, “La Bayadere,” on Saturday, May 22 at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the Delaware Valley High School Auditorium.

With choreography by Petipa and music by Minkus, “La Bayadere” was first performed at the Maryinsky Theatre in 1877 and has remained an audience favorite ever since. Set in India, the ballet tells the story of a love triangle that ends in betrayal and death.

Mozart’s Requiem sung in Milford

MILFORD, PA—The Requiem Mass in D minor (K. 626) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be the centerpiece of an all-Mozart concert by the Pike County Choral Society at 7:00 p.m. on May 22 at the Presbyterian Church, 300 Broad Street (enter on West Ann Street).
