STEPHEN A. BARBER
Stephen A. Barber of Ocala, FL, formerly of Orange County, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh, NY. He was 61.
The son of the late Austin C. and Martha Corwin Barber, he was born on March 17, 1949 in Sparrowbush, NY.
Steve was retired as security hospital treatment assistant at the Mid-Hudson Forensic Hospital in New Hampton, NY. He had served as Mid-Hudson Forensic Hospital Union President Council 82. Steve had a passion for hot rods and fast cars, and was a member of the Corvette Club of Ocala, FL and the Good Guys Car Club, a former member of Penn-York Hot Rod Club and a former member of Buck Knoll Hunting Club of Sparrowbush.
Survivors include son Stephen C. Barber and wife Victoria Lake of Bainbridge, NY; daughter Amy DiMartino and husband Joseph of Sparrowbush; sister Bonnie Jean Coulette of Leesburg, FL; companion Renee Shuler of New Hampton; and grandchildren Cody Lake, Cadi Barber and Bree Barber.
Cremation was held at Cedar Hill Crematory, Middle Hope. Memorial services were on Sunday, April 25 at Mid-Hudson E.A. Barn, New Hampton. Burial of ashes will take place at a future date with military honors at Orange County Veterans Cemetery.
DONALD C. BLUM
Donald C. Blum of Milanville, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 25, 2010. He was 84.
He is survived by his wife, the former Lois Schweighofer.
Donald was born in Wheeling, WV , the son of the late Walter C. and Evadne Bircher Blum.
He graduated from Damascus High School in 1943. Donald and Lois operated a dairy farm for many years. He was also employed at Moore Business Forms, was a member of the Calkins Baptist Church and active with the Calkins Labor Grange.
His love and devotion to the Lord, his wife, Lois, his children and grandchildren were the focus of his life. Don was quick to share with friends and acquaintances the following verse: For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.-Ephesians 2: 8 & 9.
He is also survived by four children, Larita Smargiassi and husband Ronald of Hazleton, PA, Donna Decker and husband David of Rileyville, PA, Walter Blum and wife Bonnie of Calkins, PA and Lorraine Pankratz and husband Ronald of Hershey, PA; sister Pearl Highhouse of Damascus; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by twin sister Doris Schweighofer, and sisters Betty Sheard and Marjorie Robinholdt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Calkins Baptist Church with the Rev. Lane Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Calkins Cemetery, Calkins , PA.

SCOTT THOMAS COLEMAN
Our Marine has gone to Heaven. Scott Thomas Coleman of White Lake, NY died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the age of 25.
The son of Nelda Cortez Coleman and Thomas S. Coleman, he was born August 31, 1984 in San Angelo, TX.
A 2003 graduate of Monticello High School, Scott served two tours of duty in the U.S. Marine Corps in Iraq. He was an avid skier and former member of the Holiday Mountain Ski Club.
He is survived by his parents, Nelda and Tom Coleman of White Lake; sister Rita Coleman of Astoria; paternal grandmother Rita Coleman Radzieski of Scranton, PA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is predeceased by paternal grandfather John F. Coleman; and maternal grandparents Joe and Janie Cortez.
His funeral mass was celebrated on Wednesday, April 28 at St. Peters Catholic Church, Monticello, with Fr. John Tran officiating. Burial with military honors followed at the Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel.

FRANK MULLER SR
Frank Muller Sr., a resident of Kenoza Lake, NY, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Tucker Center for Cancer at the Orange Regional Medical Center. He was 78.
The son of the late Henry and Caroline Hyll Muller, Frank was born on May 20, 1931 in Queens.
He was an active member and trustee of the Kenoza Lake United Methodist Church, loved to garden and work on construction projects. Most recently, he loved to travel with his companion Jane.
Frank was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and companion. He will be forever remembered as a family man, proud of all his children, who believed in working hard and enjoying the simple things life had to offer.
Survivors include his six children, Patti and husband Glenn Sonnenschein, Peggi and husband Robert Flemming, Penni and husband Randy Weiss Sr., Frank Muller Jr. and wife Lisa, Douglas Muller and companion Barbara Carr, and Pammi and husband Robert Mroczek; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his companion Jane DePaolo and her family.
He is predeceased by wife Lorraine in 2002; and oldest grandson, Daniel Bivins Jr.
An open house was held to celebrate Franks life on Monday, April 26 at Douglas Mullers residence, Monticello. Frank will be cremated and a memorial service will take place Sunday, May 16 at the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Bridget LeConey officiating.

CONSTANCE WERNER
Constance Connie Werner of Highland Manor in Carbondale, PA died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale, PA after an extended battle with cancer. She was 52.
Mrs. Werner was born March 15, 1958 in Honesdale, the daughter of Anne M. (Bomba) Kreiter and the late Jon P. Kreiter.
She was a 1975 graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School. She attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Connie was an accomplished artist and enjoyed designing her own clothes, floral arranging and interior design. She had a tender heart, evident in the love that she showed toward her family and her animals. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her mother, Anne M. (Bomba) Kreiter of Hawley, PA; sisters Jean and husband Joseph Micolucci of Beach Lake, PA, Kim and husband Richard Katzenback of Succasunna, NJ and Pam Kreiter of Houston, TX; brother Karl Kip and wife Bev Kreiter of Hawley; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, April 9, 2010 at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Hawley, by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Interment was made in BVM Queen of Peace Cemetery.
Cremation took place at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA.
