Seismic stopped on River Road

WAYNE COUNTY, PAThree seismic testing vehicles vibrated along the narrow dirt Lassley Road in Damascus Township on April 21, harvesting geological data from deep underground, even as pin flags and cables laid along sections of River Road the day before were removed by crews before any testing transpired.
Confusion continued to mark a process that has stirred considerable unrest within areas of Wayne County targeted for natural gas exploration.

Casey wants EPA to investigate
Dimock contamination cited as reason for drilling caution

SCRANTON, PASenator Bob Casey joined up with residents of Dimock at a news conference at his Scranton office on April 26 to call on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to conduct an examination of gas drilling as it relates to ground water contamination and other possible harmful consequences in the state.
