Landscapes in fiber
MILFORD, PAThe Bluestone Gallery will present A Sense of Place, by fiber landscape artists Ann Brauer and Karen Henderson, starting on Friday, April 30. There will be an artists reception from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Brauer grew up on a farm in Illinois, where she watched her grandmother create beautiful traditional quilts; the last quilt she made was a postage stamp quilt for Brauer. Later, Brauer took up the craft herself, and has been a full-time quilt-maker for 28 years. Her work can be seen in numerous public and private collections, including the American Museum of Art.
