Looking at things from another angle

NARROWSBURG, NY—“Flip Side,” an exhibition of digital photographs by Karen Bell, will open at the Alliance Gallery in Narrowsburg on Friday, March 26, with a reception from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The exhibit will be on view through April 17.

“The landscape, in one form or another, has been the centerpiece of my photographic work for more than 15 years,” said Bell, whose work has been shown throughout New York City and the Upper Delaware Valley. “As I started to look more closely at the ‘flip side’ of the human head, I realized I was looking at another kind of landscape—this time with a human element as central focus.”

For “Flip Side,” Bell has developed a series of photographs of various individuals, all taken from behind.
