Colorful expressions

NARROWSBURG, NY—Expressions 2010,” the third annual exhibit of art by individuals with developmental disabilities, opens at the Loft Gallery at the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) on Saturday, March 6, with an artist’s reception from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The exhibit will be on view through March 27.

Music and salsa at River Market

BARRYVILLE, NY—River Market on 3385 State Route 97 will present Will Knox on Saturday, March 6 from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. There will be a free salsa tasting during the intermission.

In November 2009, London bred alternative-folk songwriter Will Knox released his debut album, ‘The Matador & The Acrobat.” Not yet well known to the mainstream media, Knox has already made a name for himself at New York’s Lower East Side venues like Rockwood Music Hall, The Living Room and The Local 269.

All-county music festival

LIBERTY, NY—Over 450 music students from eight Sullivan County school districts will participate in the 56th annual Sullivan County Music Educator’s Association’s (SCMEA) All-County Music Festival, to be held at Liberty High and Middle School on March 5 and 6. According to festival chairperson Gary Siegel, students are selected on the basis of teacher recommendations to the chairpersons of each performing ensemble.
