Holsteins accepted for consignment

HONESDALE, PA — The annual club sale of the Wayne County Holstein Club will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 24, at the John H. Wetmore Auction Center.

The club is looking for top quality Holstein consignments as well as other colored breeds. Wayne County has a very large 4-H program, and colored breed show age calves sell for extremely high prices.

Cattle from the annual sale have gone all across the United States and abroad. Consignments are welcome from all breeders. Well-grown show age calves and bred heifers due this summer will command the highest prices. Young fresh and springing cows are in high demand.

The auctioneers for this year’s sale are John H. Wetmore and Archie Dutton. Consignments are accepted from all states in the Northeast, and should be received by March 15.
