Fire department holds ice-fishing contest

MONTICELLO, NY — The Monticello Fire Department will be hosting its annual ice-fishing contest on Saturday, February 20 from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This event will take place at the Fireman’s Camp located on Sackett Lake, Rubin Road.

There will be cash prizes and trophies for the adult division and trophies for the kid’s division. The cost to enter the event is $10 per adult (14 and over), $5 per child age seven to 13 and children under six are free. The cost to enter includes a continental breakfast.

Food and refreshments will be sold at registration and at your location on the ice and there will be five different raffles and two 50/50s held throughout the day.

Pre-registration before February 14 at the Monticello Fire Department located on Richardson Avenue or register at the lake the day of the event.
