Ice, ahoy!

Caribbean in ice is Crystal Cabin theme

LAKEVILLE, PA — The ice carvers at Sculpted Ice Works have crafted over 100 tons of ice into a Caribbean paradise for this year’s Crystal Cabin Fever, set for Thursday, February 11 to Sunday, February 28. Visitors can walk through a life-sized ice tiki hut and explore an ice treasure maze, ride the dual-run pirate ship ice slide and see ice dolphins, a coral reef display, reptiles, birds and more, all carved out of ice. Live ice carving shows and demonstrations will be ongoing. There will be free hot chocolate.

On Saturday, February 20 and 28 there will be live ice carving competitions from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. On February 20, professional carvers will compete for cash prizes in a nationally sanctioned competition and on February 27 carvers will duel in a multi-sculpture elimination event.

Crystal Cabin Fever is located at Sculpted Ice Works on Route 590 between Hawley and Hamlin.

Admission costs $10, $6 for children under 15, and children under three are admitted free. Crystal Cabin Fever is open on weekdays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m., Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information visit crystalcabinfever.com or call 570/226-6246.
