Cupid, draw back your bow...
And let your arrow go, straight to the internet... for me. No, I am not looking for love on line, although in this day and age, apparently it is possible. My web search revolved around the origins of Valentines day, since, until today, I was under the impression that the holiday had been created by some greeting card company to annoy me.
Apparently (for something completely different) I was mistaken. Surfing the net is (in my humble opinion) always informative, often entertaining and sometimes downright educational. Just as I was gearing up to be aggravated that yet another holiday is excluding me (and all single people in general) I discovered a primer on all things Valentine.

Or so they say
Last week I bought a half-gallon bottle of white vinegar after a discussion with some friends about its magical and eco-friendly cleaning properties.
The label caught my eye. It declared—in bold letters—Naturally Gluten-Free.
Of course its gluten free—its vinegar. Even if it had been made from wheat, which it is not, the distillation process would remove the gluten. So while the claim on the label is not exactly a lie, it isnt exactly the truth either.
Labels are essentially marketing tools, and many claims made on food and personal-hygiene product labels are not regulated, nor are all claims verifiable or scientific.
